Amorgos religious festivals take place during important religious celebrations and have ancient roots.

The most famous are the festivals of: Aghia Paraskevi in Kolofana on July 25,
Aghios Panteleiomonas on July 26th in Katapola,
Analipseos in Potamos (a moveable feast, 40 days after Easter)
Aghioi Anargiroi in Tholaria on July 1
Panaghia Epanohoriani in Langada on August 15
Aghios Ioannis Theologos in Kroukelos, twice a year, on May 8 and September 26.In the festivals volunteers cook the traditional foods "patatato" and "ksidato" ( lamb with potatoes in tomato sauce). A celebration takes place after that with songs from traditional instruments in the village's taverns.
